SDH Lampung Officially Launches, Expanding Access to Holistic Education in Lampung

Pelita Harapan Group (PHG) continues to expand its commitment to nurturing the next generation through education. On July 31, 2026, Sekolah Dian Harapan (SDH) Lampung officially held its Grand Launching, marking another step in PHG’s efforts to expand access to holistic education for more families in Bandar Lampung and its surrounding areas.
The launch event, held in Bandar Lampung, was attended by representatives from the Lampung Provincial Government, the Bandar Lampung City Government, community leaders, education leaders, and representatives of Pelita Harapan Group. The presence of these diverse stakeholders reflects a shared commitment to strengthening an educational ecosystem that can prepare the next generation for the future.
For PHG, the establishment of SDH Lampung forms part of its long-term commitment to expanding access to an education that integrates academic excellence, character formation, faith development, and preparation for the challenges of the future. Amid a rapidly changing world, education plays an important role in developing individuals who can think critically, collaborate, adapt, and make positive contributions to society.
The Lampung Provincial Government welcomed the establishment of SDH Lampung as part of a long-term investment in human capital development. Haris Kadarusman, Head of the Development Administration Bureau of the Regional Secretariat of Lampung Province, stated that regional development should not be measured solely by economic growth and infrastructure development, but also by the ability to nurture a generation that is accomplished, grounded in strong character and integrity, creative, and globally competitive.
In line with this vision, SDH Lampung seeks to address a broader need: developing individuals who can contribute to the advancement of their communities while remaining prepared to navigate an ever-changing world.
As part of the Sekolah Dian Harapan network, which has been providing education since 1995, SDH Lampung brings a holistic educational approach that has been implemented across various cities in Indonesia. Today, the SDH network serves approximately 16,000 students across 26 campuses through an enriched national curriculum that integrates knowledge, character, faith, and purpose. This approach aims to nurture students as lifelong learners and agents of transformation within their communities.
This commitment is reflected in a learning environment designed to encourage exploration, collaboration, and the holistic growth of every student. The SDH Lampung campus will serve students from K–12, with a capacity of up to 1,000 students, and will be equipped with a range of facilities, including smart classrooms, collaborative workspaces, a library, and sports facilities such as a basketball court and football field. More than simply providing spaces for learning, these facilities are designed to support an active learning experience, foster creativity, strengthen communication and collaboration skills, and support students’ academic, social, and physical development.
Director of Enrollment & New School Initiatives at PHG, Deny Kiswanto Sinaga, emphasized that educational success is built through strong partnerships among schools, families, government, and the wider community. According to him, SDH Lampung represents PHG’s commitment to expanding access to quality education across Indonesia while building a learning community where every child can grow and thrive.
Through SDH Lampung, PHG hopes to enable more families to access an education that not only prepares students to achieve academic excellence, but also develops their character, nurtures their faith, and cultivates a sense of care for others. The impact of this education is envisioned to extend beyond the classroom, as students carry the knowledge, values, and integrity they develop into their families, communities, and society.
The Grand Launching of SDH Lampung marks the beginning of this journey. The school is scheduled to begin operations in July 2027 and will continue to carry Pelita Harapan Group’s vision of building a transformative learning community, preparing young people not only to face the future, but also to make a meaningful impact on Indonesia.
