UPH Held The Global Mission Health Conference in May 2023

From the 15th to the 17th of May 2023, Universitas Pelita Harapan held the Global Mission Health Conference. This conference was held with the support of four collaborating faculties: the Faculty of Nursing, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Psychology. 

The conference, which was attended by international participants as well, lifted the main theme of Hope. In a broken world, healthcare providers shall still be able to have hope for the future, for hope always exists in Christ and His Word. Four main speakers of various backgrounds, namely Dr. Matthew George, Dr. Anne Biro, Dr. Jack Sorg, and Dr. Christine L. Sommers, talked further about the theme of the conference. 

Other than international seminars, the Global Mission Health Conference also held a call for papers and a SALINE process training that equips healthcare providers with knowledge and mentorship according to Christian values. The whole event series was made to identify new strategies for healthcare practice and education, explore biblical foundations and worldviews as a source of hope for healthcare providers, as well as to encourage networking in a Christian community. 

The conference was an opportunity to collaborate with others as we share and rejoice in the hope of Jesus Christ.
